Brother Laila Fields is a 4th year Political Science Scholar from Chicago Illinois. She is proud Spring 2025 Initiate of the Alpha Lambda Class into the Omega Xi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity Incorporated (AKPsi). During Laila’s time at FAMU she has held numerous student leadership positions including being President of FAMU’s Presidential Ambassadors (2024-25) and holding two positions in SGA, currently serving as a Senior Senator for the Legislative Branch. She is also an active member of the FAMU Section of the National Council of Negro Women. Laila has been blessed to work two internships. One being with the African American Mayors Association (2024), and another being with FAMU’s SecureAI in Industry Internship (2025). Post Graduation, Laila plans to get a masters degree in public policy and eventually go on to Law School to become a real estate or corporate lawyer. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, hanging out with friends, and going out for a sweet treat.
